Travel – How to get here?
From Gardermoen Oslo International Airport
There are direct train connection from the airport to Sandefjord. Travel time approximately 2 hours. The train station in Sandefjord is a five minutes walk from the Race Hotel. Tickets and timetable can be fond here: https://www.vy.no/en
From Sandefjord Airport Torp
The airport is a 15 minutes drive from the city centre. There is a shuttle buss from the airport to the train station. Travel time from the train station to Sandefjord is only a few minutes.
There are also direct buss connection from the airport to the city centre.
By car from Denmark
You can take the ferry (Color Line) from Hirtshals to Larvik, which is a 20 minute drive from Sandefjord. Travel time with the ferry is 3h 45m.
By car from Sweden
Color Line has a ferry from Strømstad to Sandefjord. The ferry port is right next to the Challenge arena and Race Hotel.
Where to stay during your Challenge experience
The official race hotel is Hotel Atlantic. They give all participants accommodation at discounted price for the weekend 27-29th June.
The price includes breakfast. We also offer our guests coffee and tea at the reception 24 hours a day, “FIKA” from 15:00-17:00 and dinner from 18:00-20:00 (Dinner served as a small buffet and consists of today’s homemade soup with croutons, today’s main course with side dishes, salads, bread, coffee and tea)
Check-in is from 15:00. If you want to check in earlier, this costs NOK 100,- per hour (This must be agreed before arrival)
Check-out is until 12:00. If you want to leave later, this costs NOK 100,- per hour (This must be agreed no later than the evening before departure)
Cancellation of reserved rooms must be made no later than 16:00 on the day of arrival.
