Aqua Bike Challenge

If you are not ready to do all the tree triathlon disciplines and think that finishing with a half-marathon is to much, then the Aqua Bike Challenge is the right choice for you!

Be a part of the magic atmosphere at the swim start, where you will start together with the middle distance athletes. The swim will take place at Granholmen Camping, five km from the city center. It will be a rolling start with five second intervals. There is 100 meters to the first buoy. The swim is with an Australian exit. Meaning it’s two laps. After lap one, you enter the beach, run through the starting arch, and back in to the water for lap two. The next time you exit the water you head for T1, and get ready for the bike leg.

You will cycle into the center of Sandefjord, which is five km away, where you round by the Badeparken before setting off towards a beautiful landscape. It is a rolling course, with curves and long flat stretches. The bike section has parts that is closed to traffic, some parts were the cars can drive in the same direction as you, and parts that is fully open to traffic. We expect little traffic early Sunday. There are bike guards at all intersections and the police drives before the first athlete. After two laps you will go to the transition in the Badeparken. You will have two aid stations on each lap.

You will finish at the dismountline in Badeparken, where you will find your participant bags and the after-food area.

Join the 1900m swim and 85km bike Sunday June 28th.
